Kady Rose is an animal science major at Cal-Poly Pomona in Pomona, California. A self-taught taxidermist, she blends her passion for art and biology into unique creations. Rather than using animals that were hunted, she takes the remains of animals donated from petting zoos, veterinarians or friends to create stuffed critters that are pliable and soft, not rigid like traditionally taxidermists make.
