With all the information published about millennials’ focus on pet life quality, this new certificate program will help participants meet these needs. During this program, participants will:
- Understand the unique field of animal hospice
- Learn how palliative care differs from conventional medicine
- Learn best practices in hospice care
- Understand what to expect in the dying patient
- Learn how to improve the euthanasia experience for the pet and caregiver
- Learn skills for more compassionate care throughout the dying process

Available on VetFolio, the Animal Hospice and Palliative Care Certificate Program consists of six self-paced educational modules. Each module will include a brief exam, which will need to be successfully completed before moving on to the next module. When all six modules have been completed, participants will receive six credit hours and a certificate of completion.
