The American Association of Bovine Practitioners’ Committee on Pharmaceuticals and Biologics has developed vaccination guidelines for its members to use when designing client vaccination protocols. Likely the first of its kind for cattle, the guidelines provide member practitioners with the base knowledge necessary to construct protocols customized to bovine client needs across the production spectrum.
Considering the variety of production scenarios in beef and dairy, the new guidelines identify core vaccine antigens recommended for all cattle, as well as risk-based vaccine antigens for situational consideration.
