Tim Loula, DVM, says it is imperative to get ahead of the curve. He outlined the following three areas for hog producers: 1) antibiotics – get prepared for the VFD regulations, 2) batch farrowing – returning to the all-in, all-out methods, 3) production – back to basics takes more work now that we are approaching thirty pigs/sow/year.
